FAQs

What is the home organization process like?

The first step in the organizing process is to schedule a (free) 30 minute phone or home consultation to discuss your goals. We will take or have you send a few pictures of the space, ask questions about your goals, style and budget, and give you a timeline for the project. There will be at least 1-2 weeks in between the consultation and the actual organizing session(s) to allow time to research, plan and buy any materials needed.

 

On organization day, everything in the space will be taken out, sorted and discarded (if needed). We will then categorize items and create an organizational system that is aesthetically pleasing, all while keeping function at the forefront.

If your project is more focused on styling a room, we will first discuss your goals and vision for the room. We then spend time space planning, designing, researching, and shopping for all needed items and supplies, based on your needs & budget. Styling sessions can be completed in a 4-6 hour session for smaller rooms and spaces or take place over the course of several weeks as we revamp an entire space. We can give you a better idea of what to expect during the consultation.

How long will it take to organize my space?

As you can imagine, organizing session(s) vary greatly in length depending on the type of space. We will give you a time estimate, pricing and plan of action after our consultation with you. While we do require a minimum of a 3 hour project commitment, projects can typically take 4-8 hours depending on the size and needs of the space. It might span several days depending on the schedule or needs of the client.

How involved should I be in the process?

This is totally up to you! We only request that you are present for the initial sorting/purging of items. We will guide you through this process so it's simple and efficient. After that, we will take it from there!  We strive to provide an all-inclusive service that doesn't take any more of your time than necessary. In fact, we enjoy the opportunity for clients to be surprised by the transformation of their space!

Should I clean up my space before you arrive?

No you do not! In fact, we’d prefer if you didn’t so that we can see how your space typically looks and functions. This is a judgment-free process and we never want our clients to feel embarrassed of any space in their homes. We know that life, kids, and chaos happens and that is why we are here to help in the first place!
However, there is always an opportunity for clients to do some pre-work if they are interested. This will be discussed at the consultation meeting in more detail.

Will I need to purchase organizational supplies?

While we are happy to use storage containers you already own, a fresh new coordinated system often works best. We will discuss this during the consultation meeting based on your goals for the space, as well as on your budget. If you decide that you would like new products, like bins, baskets and containers, we will do all of the measuring, researching and shopping for you and provide an invoice for the exact amount at the conclusion of the project.

How much does home organization cost?

This varies widely for each client and home. A typical pantry or bathroom could take 3-5 hours, while larger spaces can take several organizing sessions (8-12 hours). After the initial consultation, we will give you a general time frame and cost estimate and discuss your budget for products as well. 

How do your unpacking services work?

If you are moving or thinking of putting your house on the market, we can assist you with this process! We help clients de-clutter, stage, and clean out their house prior to listing it. 
Additionally, we offer unpacking services to help clients set up their new home with organized closets and systems in place. There's nothing like a fresh new start in  your new home!

How do your interior design services work?

Many people are intimidated by the design process and we are here to help you make decisions and create a vision that you will love!  
We begin with a complimentary consultation to see the space or rooms you'd like to style. Whether you simply want paint color recommendations or a complete room update, we will talk with you about your goals and vision for the space as well as provide examples of rooms to help you decide your style. 
We will help you select colors, furniture, rugs, and decor. We typically shop for all accessories and decor for our clients and then spend time in the home arranging, styling and updating their space. We communicate frequently throughout this process to ensure that we are providing clients with the space they envision!

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, cash or checks.
